Prompted by *Allan Border's advice to Sachin Tendulkar asking him to cut down on ODIs; MSN India decided to throw the 'Sachin Question' to the users. Most of them felt he should cut down on the number of matches being played and preserve himself for the 2011 World Cup. Read on
One user felt that India could now win games without Sachin and it is for this reason that he should be preserved for playing Test cricket. Some others felt that he should feature only in big tournaments and completely avoid playing lower-rung sides.
On the other hand Mr.Manchand agrees with Allan Border saying that Sachin's game is not what it used to be. He added that Sachin was taking too many balls to score which was putting pressure on the batsmen coming after him.
Farzad Patel like most said that he should be selective about the matches he plays and think about retirement only after winning the World Cup in 2010. Lakshmi Karthik feels that Sachin should play only 3 matches in a seven match series like the one currently underway against Australia.
Another user backs Allan Border's advice saying, "Allan Border is right in saying that Sachin should cut down on ODIs. In fact with so many good players around Sachin can sit out.On the other hand, if he focusses on Tests, he can not only prolong his career but also ensure noone comes even close to beating his record.
Venky goes to the extreme saying that Sachin should retire from all forms of the game as the younger generation needed opportunities.
Nikunj counters by saying that "Sachin knows himself better than anyone else" thereby suggesting that the decision to cut down on ODIs should be left entirely to him.
